I booked a reservation for my husband through expedia because I thought it would be easier and I had used them extensively in the past. When I tried to change one leg of the trip I was told it couldn't be done. I was trying to change my husband's return flight to be the same as a flight reservation I was holding. When i called the airline directly they said YES it could be done and they put a hold on the reservation in my husband's name and said to have the Expedia Agent call the United Executive Desk and ask for the reservation being held. Well that agent said it couldn't be done and this went round and round for more than half a day and many calls back and forth. Then they finally told me they could do it but it was going to be over $700 in extra charges. However, when i called the airline direct I could get the same exact flight for even cheaper than the original cost to Expedia. I cancelled my flight with Expedia and booked directly with the airline. NOW almost two weeks later I am WAITING FOR MY REFUND of which expedia blames the airline for holding onto. What good does it do to be an Expedia Customer??? What benefits do they give their customers??? I don't see any at all and actually quite the reverse. After this i will never never use expedia again!!!
