I had given my account number to get information on a vacation package knowing I could cancel before the withdrawal date. What should have been the case was not the case. I called to cancel on the 7th but did not get a confirmation number. On the 8th I called to verify the cancelation and was told the account swhowed canceled. The next day while banking online I noticed $149.00 withdrawn from my accout. My bank said that because I gave them my account number I'm liable for those charges. Even after I told them I canceled twice I had no proof. Because I didn't have the money in the account I was charged an additional $64.00. I have taken steps as in sending the package back to them as instructed but have heard nothing. They owe me $213.00 which I'll probably never see again!
