I received a call from Travel Life, in which they told me all of my account informationg. I asked them where they got this information, and they said they got it from my credit union through a purchase I made online. I thought they were legitimate because they already had my information.
They offered me a free trip to Florida and said they would mail me more information. If I decided I didn't want any of their services, I could call and cancel and would not be charged. They then began offering me other services. The first few services were free, but then she mentioned a service that would charge my account. I told her I didn't want it, she asked me to reconsider, and then I told her again that I didn't want it. She said thanks, and we hung up.
I never got an information package in the mail. Some weeks later, I saw a check withdrawal with a peculiar check number. A week after that, I saw another withdrawal in my account with another strange check number. I called my credit union to get the information about the withdrawal. They told me the money was withdrawn by Travel Life and they gave me the 800 number that was listed. The number didn't go through. I looked them up online, and the website that came up was complaint, with a story about Travel Life that is exactly like mine.
