When I was informed of my *free* vacation, I thought it sounded pretty good. When I heard about the other offer the company had, I liked it as well, but I had no money.
Assured that this was no problem, I was told that they could take a check over the phone and hold it for a while. Now I realize how stupid that was, but the man was so nice and helpful, I thought it'd be okay. Wrong.
The next day, after talking to my husband, we decided not to do it. I called to cancel the whole thing and the man I talked to said it was taken care of. But they had already taken the money out, even though they weren't supposed to, overdrawing my account by $198.
I called back and the man said a 'mistake' had been made and that they'd put the money right back. It's still not back. I've filed a dispute with the bank, but I don't know what good it will do.
This mess has cost me massive overdraft charges, and it's probably not over yet. No matter how nice they seem, DON'T DO IT!!! The vacation probably sucked anyway.
