My family has been going to this hotel for 13 years. Further, we have become friends with other families that have been going to here for 10 years during the week of the classic car show. All toll we rent out 10 rooms for just my family (if you include our friends, we rent over 90% of the rooms).
The hotel has new management as of 2 years ago when the last manager died. Last year, the new manager screwed up every reservation, lost reservations, overpriced our rooms, etc. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and came back this year.
They overcharged my brother $100, every person in our group was charged a different price, the head manager told my mother flat out that we can go take our business elsewhere because she doesn't need any of our business, when I checked in they were making comments about my mother, the head manager went after my cousin and tried to physically attack her for making a comment about her (admittedly my cousin was in the wrong but a hotel manager has NO right to attack a patron).in talking with almost every guest at the hotel, they all received the same treatment from the management. When we demanded the name and number of the hotel owner, she refused.
We spoke to several of the large groups that stay there and they all said they will never be back. When we said this to the manager, she said she didn't care. She didn't need the business. Which was something I find interesting when the hotel was not full on one of the busiest weeks of the year.
When we checked out of our rooms, she was trying to claim that they received more complaints about my family than we had about her. We find that interesting because by checkout time, we had spoken to everyone at the hotel this weekend and they ALL had the same complaints about her. And further, if she had complaints about us, why didn't she say something, or throw us out? Most likely because she made it up since we are friends with 90% of the hotel guests.
The motel is actually all condos, with each room owned by a private individual and she simply manages for them. I am sure the owners have no idea what is going on or she wouldn't be there.
