I was booking hotel for my brother's family visiting USA. I called 411 for telephone number for a hotel with multiple location in Manhattan. 411 operator gave me the number 888-578-8767 saying it is central reservation number which I thought it was the central reservation number for the hotel. I called 888-578-8767 asked for the room with smoking and made a reservation for two rooms paid $822.88 on They Surrey Hotel. When I called the hotel the same day, a nice gentleman from hotel told me that New York State has law that you can not smoke at any hotel premise and hotel booking company mis-represent and mislead the information about his hotel. So, I called back the company right away, and they read the contract saying no refund policy which was never read to me in first place. I am still calling them for my money back, but they have absolutely no interest paying back.
