We had a contract for 20 rooms for the wedding party and out of town guests, as well as the bridal suite for the bride and groom.
Several of our group checked into the hotel before the reception. At the end of the night when our guests went to the hotel they found other people sleeping in their rooms. Even the bridal suite was given away to another person. Just what a bride and groom would want on their wedding night, a stranger staying in their room with them.
At this point we discovered that several of our guests were given the same room key (room 319). When we called the hotel to inquire what was going on, we were told to call Lupe (the manager on duty) at 630-456-3117.
When the bride called to find out what was going on with the rooms, Lupe hung up the telephone, refusing to explain why several guests were charged for their rooms and given the same room key.
The hotel refused to give our guests new rooms saying they did not have any rooms available. They refused to help our guests find another hotel and they refused to refund their money.
We have tried to contact Katie Gresmer at 630-279-0100 who is the general manager as well as the owner Ralph (last name not given) to find out what happened. They are not willing to pick up the telephone to give us an answer.
If anyone would like to call Lupe and Katie to see if they can get an answer, please feel free to do so.
I also called the hotel headquarters and their response was to have us take it up with the owner of the Country Inn and Suites in Bensenville. Clearly they are not concerned with their reputation.
All consumers beware if you have plans to stay at the Country Inn and Suites O'Hare South hotel, you may not have a room even after you register, or you may have unexpected guests staying in your room with you.
