I recently went online to purchase my husband a Greyhound bus ticket so that he could come home for Christmas and on my first attempt to buy a ticket I was told that the station in Cheyenne, WY was not a station that he could buy a ticket for online (even though it was listed on the online options) then I tried to change it to the station in Ft. Collins, CO and was then told that he would have to print his ticket off at home (which he could not do because he does not have access to a printer or internet, hence why I was buying his ticket for him online to be picked up at will call). On my 3rd attempt to purchase a ticket online now having had to move his departure station from Cheyenne to Ft. Collins to Denver, CO; as I was getting ready to check out I noticed a Gift Fee charge of $18! When I called customer service I was told that because I was purchasing MY HUSBAND a ticket with a credit card in my name, it was going to cost an extra $18!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? How can Greyhound get away with this? I have never seen such a misleading, corrupt, deceitful and dishonest attempt at stealing (and they are stealing!) money from people (people who obviously don't have a lot of money because they are choosing to ride a crappy bus instead of fly). I am appalled by Greyhound's unethical policies and I will never support this business AGAIN, and furthermore I plan to give Greyhound Bus Lines TERRIBLE reviews on the BBB as well as any website I can find. This is exactly why this company is failing. They have horrible customer service and they STEAL money from their customers. Get it together Greyhound!
