Dear Travelocity, I recently booked a trip through Travelocity from, August 2 to August 6, from Richmond VA to Bermuda. The ID # is 632070977298. The flight booked through Delta was good, but the hotel accommodations were horrible. I confirmed two queen size beds in a room. There were two twin size beds pushed together. The beds did not have two mattress pads, but one mattress pad used to cover the bottom half of the two beds pushed together. One of the mattresses was stained. The room safe, to secure our belongings, did not have a key. The kitchenette did not have a stove, sink, microwave in it. The coffee grains provided for the guests were in a zip lock snack bag. There were two coffee cups provided, but no other dishes. The tub in the bathroom was dirty with rust stains coming from the facet and the bath tub drain was eroded and rusty. The bathroom towels and rugs were worn. When asked to change the assigned room, the nice hotel staff was willing to show another room. The room with balcony that was shown was worse than our assigned room. The balcony was eroded; needed painting and the window air conditioner had visible corrosion. Needless to say we did not change rooms. When observing other guests as they checked in, one couple left immediately, and another couple stayed one night and changed hotels the next morning.
Yes, I would like some compensation for the less than desirable accommodations. But more than that, I would not want anyone else to reserve a room in this hotel expecting a three star hotel. The rooms in the hotel are dated and are truly falsely represented on the internet. The view from the rooms is beautiful, but the rooms in this hotel are not being kept in a standard for guest to stay in this facility.
