I wish I had read all of these posts before booking my flights through Expedia.
1) Couldn't select seats according to their site. Lead to my family and I getting split up on a leg of the journey on the booking. I contacted the carrier directly and was able to correct; for some additional cash. Lesson: select seats via carrier only.
2) Attempted to call Expedia customer service to correct the above seat issue but had a 2 hour wait time. I gave my number as a call-back. After two hours went by my phone started ringing.'Hello'... Click. Hung up on several time.
3) At this point I decided to call and sit on hold until someone picked up. Eventually they did. I never swore and was actually asked to raise my voice because they couldn't hear me. I explained the above, but they didn't care and before I could ask them to take my number off of the call-back list; she hung up on me even though I told her I wasn't done.
4) I called back, and waited again. First I made sure they removed my number from the call-back. Then I asked to speak with a manager. No one at this company seems to care about anything. The manager listened to what I had to say, offered no apologies, and asked if they answered all of my questions.'No you didn't answer my questions! Expedia has done nothing to help me!'
Tl;dr Expedia sucks, book flights directly with the carrier.
