Orbitz markets their flight insurance as if it would be helpful to average traveler. My husband and I bought it without reading all the small print. We have brought flight insurance from airlines previously and had easy experiences changing flights. We clearly should have read the small print, as Orbitz flight insurance only covers travel plan changes with limiting reasons including death, medical incapcity, job loss, hijacking, and other unlikely reasons. I will not use Orbitz again. I have been disappointed with the wait to speak with some from customer service, and the feeling that they have taken advantage of me.
