In July I signed up for a 30 day membership for my son who was going to be starting college in August, under the understanding that it would end after 30 days. A few months later I noticed that Urban active was still charging me each month. When I tried to cancel I was told (almost robotically) by my local Gym personel that they could not cancel my membership, but I would have togo to the companys website, print off the form, send it certified mail to their corporate office, and be charged $10.00 for the cancellation. There is no way to contact or speak with anyone in management or to anyone at the corporate office. The number that is given on line to the corporate office only directs you back to your local Gym where you get some VERY rude counter clerk or others who in essence tell you that you should have paid more attention to what you were signing. I was willing to cut my losses and move on even though they charged me for 3 months more than I intended, however since they wanted to play their little shell game and make it difficult to cancel the membership, I wanted everyone else to know what crooks they are. I will NEVER use their Gym and I will tell everyone I know about my experience. I am a professional person and am very busy. To have to take time out of my busy day to deal with this mess is a joke!
