Bad Review for Avogadro's Lab Supply
I bought a filtration set from Avogadro's Lab Supply on eBay for 235 dollars incl. Shipping to Europe. It was unusable due to a missing item.
When I filed a "not as described" dispute with eBay, Avogadro's Lab Supply blackmailed me by demanding that he would only send me the item if I would retract the dispute first, leaving me with no options left for a refund or even the missing item. His tone was very disrespectful and he did not sign any name.
The owner of this business appears to enjoy conflicts instead of helping customers with serious problems.
I told him we paid 100 dollars VAT and import tax and that returning the shipment would cost us an additional 50 dollars in postage fees, but he did not care, he did not want to send the missing item, "a 25 cent piece" he said (rubber tube with tubing connector) because he did not like that I had filed a "not functional" claim on eBay, as a last resrt because he wasn't answering any emails before that.
Instead of offering to send the the missing item, he admonished me that I should be "more polite", and "think about how you will catch flies better with syrup". And that was that for him. Case closed he said.
So including taxes, that filtration set cost us a total of 335 dollars, is urgently needed and totally unusable at the moment. I have no idea where to find the missing part, or even its exact specifications.
So I am check-mate. The eBay buyer protection-based refund will cost me 150 dollars in non-refunded taxes and return postage.
Buying from this company is a big mistake if you ask me.
