Filed a complaint with magic jack through their unfriendly web site live chat 7 months ago about being unable to make calls to certain U.S. Area codes, Nevada being one. The "rep" at magic jack assured me it was a server problem and they were "in the process of fixing this glitch" and that they would email me when the issue was resolved and assuring me it would be within two weeks. Fast forward to 10 minutes ago and the same issue again but now it is also numbers in the 305 area code that I am unable to call. Same story same excuse and same BS as before and the "cust. Service online chat rep" assured me it would be resolved within days and I would get an email notifying me it would be resolved. Bottom line: don't get magic jack if you rely on a phone service! You cannot speak to a cust. Rep as they do not provide a physical phone number. Their site obviously makes it very difficult to even lodge any complaints or get issues resolved or speak to a person for any reason. No wonder they demand their money up-front as their so called customer service and phone reliability is crap! Go with anyone but magicjack. As soon as my "plan" runs out, I will be looking for other dependable land line alternatives.
