We are a new customer of a few months. We are now in the prossess of moving and can't get into new home for a month. I called customer service and wanted to downsize our program plan to the basic service as we would not be using it for a while.
The amount would have been @ $29.95 a month. At that point the company agent said that there was a better plan for me, it was a $5.00 a month vacation or seasonal fee and it would keep my account in service and I could use this up to 3 months. I asked her again to make sure because we had a 1 year contract to fullfill and didn't want a break in servive. She at that time put me on hold and asked her superviser and returend with the ansewer yes it was ok and there would be no break in service and no extra charges.
A week later the retailer called me and said they were billing me for $400.00 for a break in service contract. I went to the store and confronted the manger about this, he said Dish Network was conceling the promotional as we had a break in service. We both contacted dish and all they would do was return us to the basic plan. I think they sould honor they employees commitment to me at the $5.00 a month.
