I called Dish Network customer service on 1/06/08 to give notice that I wouldn't be renewing my 18 month contract. The contract ended on 1/09/08. I was informed that since I was paid up, there would be no further charges. On 1/25/08 I noticed a credit card charge from Dish Network for $8.79. I had not received any statement or explanation for this.in the past we always paid by check.
I again called customer service, and "Nicole" explained that since I elected to terminate 3 days early I would have to pay a fee.
Dish Network has received 18 months worth of billing and their equipment has been returned. This fee is bogus and an unfair business practice.
