I'm in the same situation as most of you. NorVergence agreed to services, reneged, went bankrupt and a Leasing Company is now trying to enforce NorVergence's contract.
I found a ruling by the FTC regarding a similar instance in which Company A defrauded customers and then transferred to Company B the leasing agreements. The FTC ruled and a federal court upheld the ruling that the contracts with conditions similar to those found in Norvergence violated Section 5 of the FTC ACT. I'm going to a lawyer to discuss things.
