We signed up for Norvergence in March for cell phones, long distance, 800, local and internet service. Upon "approval" we were sold to a leasing company. The leasing company called to see if our equipment was on-site. We told them it was in the box on the shelf and had never been installed because we retained our existing Internet service for which Norvergence re-imbursed us $49.95/month
The leasing company CIT began billing us shortly thereafter. Recently they told us we were not paying enough taxes so our bills were increased. I told them again that the equipment was not installed and not working... They said it did not matter to them.
Norvergence also sent invoices to charge for a flat agreed fees plus amounts not in the agreement, plus taxes and fees.
Until July 16th we got the services (see above) although the equipment we were leasing never worked. CIT says we must continue to pay them. We beleive they knew this was a scam and did not care.
