I had cellular phone service with Verizon Wireless for several years. It was fine for a while.
They then became increasingly expensive with multiple charges. I decided to change wireless plans with a company that had a unlimitted/more inclusive plan. My service with Verizon Wireless ended on 2/1.
Their billing cycle was from 1/23 through 2/22 and I was charged the full amount for the month with no adjustment for my service ending on 2/1.
I called Verizon wireless about the adjustment. I was kept on the phone for some time. I was given reasons for the bill that were not valid and was being distracted by senseless chit chat from the young man that was assisting me. After being put on hold while he was "assisting me", he finally came back to the phone and told me "I received service for the entire month" even though the phone service through verizon wilrelss was not longer active after 2/1. Once services for a billing cycle begun, they found it acceptable to charge me for the entire month even though the verizon phone service was not available for half the month. Clearly this is a dishonest practice and I do not feel this could possibly be legal.
