Deceptive sales Procedure

I was contacted last month by a sales representative for Verizon soliciting my business phone service. I told her I am interested in the package she presented to me but could not make a decision now due to the fact I wanted to check with my current provider, Surftone, to see if I was in a contract that would cost me a cancellation fee to switch services. The verizon represetnative said she could put me on hold and verify my account standing with Surftone, my current provider. I said i would hold, she came back on the line a few minutes later and told me she just confirmed with Surftone that I was in a month to month contract currently with no cancellation fee. So I said go ahead and let's switch me over to Verizon. I was swithed over on 1/11 and just received a call from Surftone today stating that I owe a $200 cancellation fee. I was shocked that the Verizon representatvie lied to me after calling Surftone, she was well aware that I was in a contract with Surftone. I was told my Surftone that their records indicate I called on 12/22 to verify my account and they salid they told me I was in a contract until February. Well, they were not speaking with me, apparently the Verizon representative claimed to be me to ge the information and then not only stole my identity to get the infomation but lied to me about the information she just received. I feel this was fraudulent sales practices by the Verizon sales representative and now am stuck with a $200 cancellation fee or I need to go through the whole transferring back process and switch back to Surftone. Verizon told me today there may be fees applied to cnacell the service even though I have only had it one week. Either way I am screwed!
