Contracted for a 2 year service plan for the family, 5 phones all together. The plan included 3500 prime minutes plus unlimited cell to cell service and night and weekends beginning at 7pm.
Things went fine for about 3 months, they would ask me at every opportune moment if I would like to bite on a 50 cent discount by signing 4 more contracts for 2 years. I always refused. If you default on the contract it's $150/per, my contract only had one default included. "I have proof"
Then one day I arrived home and Sprint had been nice enough to send me 4 more contracts anyway, didn't matter if I wanted them or not, they were shoving them down my throat. Then they started redoing the billing by adding charges and telling me that I did not know what I was talking about because the 'bonus' feature I refered to was not even in existance when my plan went into effect. "ITS ON THE CONTRACT"; but in a nice way they told me I was full of it.
I have spent hours on their support lines trying to get this settled but have gotten nowhere. On top of this they sold me phones with built in modems and told me I could buy a cable from Radio Shack and use it to connect to the internet. About 2 weeks into it they reprogrammed my phones so that the modems would not work. Now I was out of an ISP because I had dropped my service, didn't need two. I had also dropped my land line because it was obsolete.
Then the fun began. I am currently in the process of duplicating all the contracts so I can send them to the Attorney Generals Office. If you contract with them be aware that you do not need contracts on each phone in a family plan. Also get up and leave if the sales person is running around like a chicken without a head. Careful on the written stuff, they will forget to include it then scribble it in, if you allow this get them to sign next to the written addition. I did. I think thats the only thing that is going to save me when we finally get to the courts.
Read your stuff and make sure everything is DOCUMENTED and save every thing that comes in the mail, even what looks like junk. This has been one of the worst experiences for my family. My daughter is away at school and my son is in the military and we are now without contact until this is settled. Wireless you can have it.
