AT&T has gone to the dogs, they no longer care about the quality of service they provide their customers, they only care to rip us off! The individuals in the customer service department and recievables management are rude. I was charged roaming charges in Laughlin, NV, which is an area that is highlighted on my calling plan map as an area that there are NO roaming charges. The calls show up on my bill as originating from Kingman, AZ, which is not near Laughlin.
When I called AT&T on this it came out that Laughlin runs off of the Kingman tower so even though I was no where near Kingman they say I called from Kingman and Kingman just happens to NOT be a 'no roaming' area on the calling plan map. I demanded that the roaming charges be taken off of my bill but they refused to do so. When I chose my calling plan I explained my needs to the customer service rep. I told them that I needed a plan that would not charge me roaming for making calls in the Laughlin area because I go there often. The rep told me they had the plan for me and set it up. The map for my plan shows Laughlin as a 'no roaming' zone. The rep even went off of this map. Their calling plan maps are wrong!!!
The rep even told me that they have had quite a few complaints about this very same thing and admitted that the map is decieving. When I asked for AT&T's corporate headquarters phone number to file a complaint I was put on hold... To be told that corporate does not have a phone number... Hmm? I was given an address though... How nice! I then asked for the name of the CEO and V.P. Of customer services of AT&T... Again put on hold, this time for 5 minutes... To be told that THEY CANNOT GIVE OUT THAT INFO... Again, hmm? Funny, I was able to easily gain all of this info by searching online!
