First American Title Insurance Company I went to refi my house loan on Friday. I was told we had to pay zero closing costs so we went into First American Title Insurance Company and signed all the final papers. We thought we were finished. Come Monday morning I recieve a call from my loan officer saying that FIrst American Title Insurance Company messed up on our account and decided that we actually have to pay 1400 dollars in closing costs. This is after we already signed all the papers. They said if we don't pay the money we won't close the loan. Very irritating. Trying to research and find out if this is aganst the law because it really seems like it would be. I strongly suggest NO one should use First American Title Insurance Company. They are horrible!!!
