I was called by a Mr. Jonathon Banks of the above company who said he had a Canadian investor interested in my Property in El Paso, and that his company had approved a loan of $18,000 on Friday to purchase the land. That the buyer had paid the $1751 closing costs by having it deducted form the loan amount. That the First American Title Insursance would need $986 to clear the title and that the closing date was set for 17 October. I was to go to Walgreens and get 2 green dot packages and he would give the numbers to the Title company on a conference call. Papers would be overnighted to me to sign. Needless to say, that didn't happen. I waited several days and called the number he had given me (929-268-0470), and I could hear voices in the backgroound giving the same green dot spiel.
