I was trying to help my mother get her stove fixed and save her some money. I looked up We Fix It. I regret the day I called. When I called I was told that my problem was fixable and it would only cost me $30.00 for the part and $30.00 for labor. We set an appointment for the following week. The morning of the appointment no show, no call. I called to find out what went wrong. I made another appointment for the same day.
Late again. When the service technician / owner showed up the nightmare began. He jumped right into taking the stove apart. When he got everything spread out, I was told that it would be $120.00 to relace the igniter. I told him what his wife and I discussed to attempt an understanding. He kept cutting me off and over talking me. I tried every way I could to work out this "misunderstanding". I asked if I could buy the part and have him fix it later. He said the part was $65.00 and he could'nt sell it to me. He goes on to say I owe him $35.00 for coming. I told him that this was not told to me upfront and that this was not a good business practice. He tells me that any "intelligent" person would have asked. He continues to say that, that's how "" do business...
That we are headed back to slavery, on and on... This guy is in his late 50's, this is totally unacceptable behavior. I give him the "service fee", He does not have change and wants to leave and "bring back" my change. I am writing this to let everyone know to beware of this company and their shady practices. Anyone who finds this unbelievable call their company at # (972) 227-2433 to witness the ignorance.
