Horrible repair service - appliance repai

Had a horrible experience with Sears Home Repair services.

I have a Sears protection plan for my Frigidaire Chest Freezer. A few days after I purchased the protection plan, my temperature alarm started going off for no reason, even though the freezer is functioning properly.

I called Sears service, and waited 10 days for someone to come to the house, they did, told me they had to order a part, and re-scheduled me for another 2 weeks out.

The technician came back and replaced the part, but less than 10 minutes after he left, the alarm started going off again. I called their service back immediately, but was told the earliest someone could come back was August 28th, another 2 weeks later.

The Tech came yesterday as scheduled, and told us he needed to schedule another part, and rescheduled for Wednesday, September 11th, another 2 weeks out.

After he left, we realized that we are not going to be home on the 11th, so I called their service again to ask if I could change the appointment. First, my wife called and was told that she could not change the appointment until the part arrived, and that our appointment on the 11th was just a "placeholder". She asked why she couldn't simply move the "placeholder" to the next day, and received no answer.

So I called back and was told that yes, they could change the appointment, but the technician's comments were not yet in the system, so could I please call back tomorrow (August 29th, which is today). I was also told not to worry, that September was "wide open".

I called back today, and was told the earliest they could reschedule was September 18th which is THREE WEEKS out.

This has to be about the most worthless service I have ever used. Not only do their technicians not fix the problem, but then each time I have to wait weeks on end for them to come back. It's beyond ridiculous.

I'm at the point now where I am going to now call an independent appliance repair person to come fix this, because they are too incompetent to do so.

I think I deserve a refund on the $70 I paid for this lousy service, after which I'd be happy if they cancel the remaining time on the plan.

One last thing. Their chat function is worthless. I tried multiple times across multiple days to "chat with a representative", and all it did was show flashing bars across the chat window and never actually show a chat window.

I look forward to their response.
