Walmart injury developed cancer - wal-mart does not care

This is about my mother, now 80 year, mother Pearl of Scottsboro, AL. I am her daughter, Helena of Beech Grove, TN.

On May 4,1999, my mother was at the Wal-Mart Store in Scottsboro, AL and while standing near by the microwave's a microwave tumbles down off a shelf and hits her leg. She was a diabetic and you know diabetics are slow to heal. She paid her own Doctor bills because of this injury, she suffered from the beginning of the injury and the pain, redness and a bruised leg and bad knee has really worsened the past few months.

Since the injury her leg has looked very bad. She has a knot on her leg and we think the knot has formed because of her leg injury. A knot has been on her leg since the injury. The knot is about the size of one flat fried egg and about 1/4 inch swollen above the normal surface of a normal leg.

After the accident Wal-Mart's Claims Office called and offered her $50.00 and then later they called and offered her $100.00 She wouldn't accept it because she had hired a lawyer. He never did one thing for her either. Never contacted her not one time. Another consumer complaints to be filed later.

Her sister in law kept telling her you need to get you another lawyer, stop procrastinating... My niece, mother's grandchild should have proceeded full force by helping my mother get a
settlement and hiring another lawyer.

Walmarts Claims Office in Arkansas and now it is too late to sue because there is a two year Statue Of Limitation. Now my mother has CANCER on that leg, and starting chemotherapy this Monday Dec 3rd.

Since the injury her leg has been red, dark bruised and scaly and a knot has formed on her knee. The Doctor told my mother saying he has never seen anything like that on another patient and this is very different and an UNUSUAL medical procedure.

My mother and MEDICARE has paid all the medical bills due to
that injury. Now MEDICARE will have more money to pay out. Plus my mother will pay her share that Medicare won't pay.

My mother is poor, a very wonderful loving person that is loved by everyone.

Is there a way that the Statue Of Limitation can be disregarded and "over ride" that law? Are do you know any other way that myself and my mother or you can do to force the WEALTHY, Wal-Mart owners should make a substantial settlement with my mother?
