I got cricket service because of the flat rate offer and the mail in rebate offer for the phone, but the only reason I got a cell phone was because of an increasing amount of harrassing phone calls and death threats I had been receiving. So I turned off my home phone and got the cricket. The cell works great and no dropped calls so that was great.

I told the rep kyle in the Cricket Store why I needed to get this phone and that I needed my caller id blocked obviously, said fine, asked if i could place a security code on the acct for verification as I didnt want to say my ssn because the individuals had gotten all my personal info as well including my ssn, drivers liscense #, credit cards, my address, place of employment, everything! So he sd of course thats fine. So first week of service great.

Well then I accidentally put my phone into spanish text on the screen. Well I couldnt figure out the 4 words to select to get back to english, so I called cust service who refused to accept anything but my ssn for verification refused to put a manager on the phone sd they didnt know who the managers were.

I asked what they do if they call in sick and he says oh thats a differnt line for employees only noone ever says their name or has an extension and supervisors are unknown. This coming out of an office in new mexico and another in texas. Which are contracted telemarketing companies, not cricket. I spent 2 hours on the phone w a couple of reps in cust service and tech support for this simple flip of language display, to get answers of: Its my first week, I dont know how to use the phones, I dont speak spanish either, we dont have a book on the phones to reference for standard opperations and dont get trained on that.

Finally i get transfered to the "bilingual dept" to speak w a rep who speaks no english at all, in the texas office. Finally I had to hang up and drive to work on my vacation to have a bilingual coworker switch it for me. It took her 2 seconds!!! There have never been any notes as to my request for a security code and the reasons why. I even supplied them w the police report #s. Every time I call in they argue about the pass word and say they dont care this is procedure and I have been hu on a few times, I have been cursed at, refused a manager, and blatantly disrespected.

So second week I start getting all these harrassing threatening calls again to the point that the phone can no longer save new info, just full. So then I find out that the caller id was never blocked, since day one. I call them they say sorry i will have to deal with it and change my number. So then the unit starts dialing one all the time just holding down on the one key all the time so I took it back and the rep at the store a girl named Norma just kept giving these squinty eyed dirty looks and could careless about the mistake of her co worker kyle and that they would not wv any fees for my distress and their obvious mistake never mind the inconvenience of changing my number again with everyone.

So i speak with the manager who was completely rude and unempathetic but did agree to wv the 15 dollar fee as a one time courtesy. Would do nothing else for me and advsd me i would have to pay 35 dollars today to get a new phone because some colored strip in the phone was smeared. Meaning the phone had gotten wet... I never got the phone wet. That didnt matter either.

So I call the insurance dept there at the store to be hung up on by the rep mike because when he asked me to verify my ssn and dl# I told him i had a password to verify instead that since i openend the acct and if he could see those notes, he snottily responded that it didnt matter and hu!!!

So The manager is still completely condescending and belittling and when I asked him what he could do to help me out due to all the mistakes and problems ive been having he sd nothing that the 15 dollar fee wvd was good enough, I told him no it wasnt at all acceptable and he told me that my opinion didnt matter and that he superceded me and he makes the decisions. Absoluteley floored all i could say was well now your just acting pompous and arrogant and that there would be no further dialogue between us and its too bad he could not even be understanding to the extreme situation ive been dealing with.

So i finished up paying the 35 and left. Finally my long distance that i bought over the phone with my credit card for 10 dollars was for 135 minutes and purchased the time on the 2 of january and probobly used 30 minutes before i switched phones. They didnt transfer the remaining time to the new phone and the caller id wasnt working. I call in again and they have no record of the long distance nor the bank transactions. I called back again two days ago and Still no record, my checking acct was debted for 10 and the time was applied and partially used, so this is not making any sense at all.

So now ive got to have my bank fax over proof of the transfer of funds. I have gone around and around of every issue. So the most recent occurances to date are that on the 22 I called to find out if my auto bill pay would be coming out today like was supposed to. She tells me no the first month of service I am supposed to pay myself wherever I want to and then the remaining pymntst would be auto deducted.

So I had to get an extention to keep the service turned on and pay a late fee because they didnt deduct my acct and apparently the rep who opened the acct Kyle was supposed to have read some information stating this way of establishing service. And if he didnt that isnt her fault and she wasnt there so i would have to just accept that. I have 4 hand written letters to cricket corporate that ive just held to compile because every time i go to mail it i have to write another. I called corporate at a long distance number I was charged to make and left 3 messages on voicemail throughout the day and got no return phone call.

Still havnt gotten the rebate. But I did get a text message from cust service thanking me for choosing them and that my next pymnt would be taken automatically on the 22 of feb for 65.00??? The plan is 34.99 a mnth plus 5.00 for the caller id and vm package. I didnt even bother calling in on that. I just know that I will be ending my service with them and will tell every one I know to never buy or use cricket.
