Filed discrimination claim 8/08 while still employed. Corporate Office fired me for filing! EEOC said they were backed up and would get to my claim as soon as they can. I provided payroll documents of color line between people who got overtime pay, holiday pay, vacation, etc. 100% proof! I had 4 witnesses name and phone information waiting to be called. EEOC finally contacted me almost exactly two years after I filed my claim. They never spoke to a single witness and didn't seem to know much about my claim. I pushed for a meeting. No agreement was reached. Employer even admitted he says inappropriate things as a joke sometimes. EEOC would not finish the investigation. They would only issue Right to Sue. I spoke to two lawyers who explained that the Statute of Limitations had expired on the items I could prove. They would not take the case because there was no longer enough money that could be recouped. This week I find out the Dept. Of Labor is investigating. I called them and they said "too bad you are beyond two years". I cannot be included in their investigation.
