Jennifer Tenucci, OPK CEO, is being misleading.
One does not have to be a CPA or tax attorney to know the legal definition of "independent contractor." All you need to do is go to the IRS's website and read the definition.
If the payer (company that pays you) instructs you HOW to do the work and/or WHEN to do the work, then you are NOT an independent contractor.
In almost every case that has been brought to court, these type of companies lose, with a judge fining the company and awarding money to the employee.
