I see that alot of people are complaining about Direct TV. They keep getting away with ALL the complints. The service stinks, they lie, omit important information, very rude, even when there's a tec. Problem they won't help. The bait and switch is there motto. We were assured there was no contract, when buying their product, since I just went through all the lies with Dish. Well, when we bought a HD T.V. And had to update, it wasn't told to us it would be on a 2 year contract just to update. It's crazy. When I called, because of most of the complaints are for cancelling they informed me I had to pay 240.00 to cancel. When I complained to the billing office on line, they sent me a general letter for they're policy.
What do they think Iam stupid. I guess we're all stupid expecting them to have a heart and work with us. Especially with the money problems we're all experiencing, but no... They want their money, no matter what hardships their customers are having in this economy. Oh, they offer to suspend it for 6 months, I'm sure you would still have to pay the rental on their equpment. So beware this company, they are all for money. I'm going to pay them their 240 dollars to get rid of them.
And then I will tell 10 people, and tell them to tell 10 people. I will e mail every single person I know and tell them to do the same. These sat. Companies need to be stopped from stealing our money.
It's not just in Oregon, its the same all over the U.S. Bunch of crooks, so lets get out there and spread the word. I have lots of people to inform. I've learned my lesson, I will not buy any services without checking usacomplaints.com or the BBB. And sometimes the BBB doesn't catch the crookedness of a company. So keep your eyes and ears open and always check the company out.
