My fiance bought me an engagement ring. It was a 3 stone ring middle diamond was. 72 ct the two gems on outside were red sapphire we were replacing the sapphires on outside with real diamonds to match my 3/4 ct center diamond. We bought diamond earrings which we wanted to use to replace the sapphires. We bought the ring January we got engaged July 4 and i started to wear the ring that day. November 1st 2010 we took the ring to Foss jewelers in Lewistown, PA they had my ring for a week to replace the sapphires with the diamond earrings they called and said it was ready to go. My fiance went to get it when he got there they said oh by the way your band is sterling silver not 14kw/g 6 months before this we had them look at it back when we got it and the guy said this is a thick 14k w/g band he confirmed it was w/g. When we bought it we had it appraised and we received a certificate which confirmed that it was definitely white gold.
