Everything was suppose to be loaded for moving to my residence in Arizona on the 19th of June but. Because the truck broke down, it wasnt until the next day that my furniture and goods were picked up
at my previous residence, 1009 Hyacinth Ankeny, Ia. 50021. It is also where the nightmare begins.

David, I dont have a last name, represents Hawk Van Lines, 4611 Mellisa Way, Birmingham, Alabama,
35243 Phone # 800 401-6513. On 4/21 David and I entered into an agreement via the internet to move
my goods and furniture on 5/20 from Iowa to Arizona for $950.00. Because I was having a difficult
time coming up with the money the moving date was set back a month. Prior to the physical move I was to
pay 25% to reserve, 50% at the time of loading and the remainder on delivery. At the beginning of June I gave David permission to take $236 out of my checking. He took $118. That is all I have paid. When I did have the remaining funds I was told not to worry about it, to pay it when the goods were on the truck with the remaining 25% being paid at delivery. This becomes relevant in a little bit.

There is animosity between my ex wife and myself that was made worse because she had to be at home
while the movers were there. She was being inconvenienced big time. She would not be around the following week-end so I was given a deadline to have everything moved by 6/24 or she would throw it out. And the movers had to be there early in the morning or after 6 at night. It is from this backdrop that I believe David took it upon himself to hire a different driver. His name might be Ali, I am not sure. He was always referred to as the Dispatcher, phone number 954 464-6722

The Dispatcher got to my ex wifes house late on Sunday, the 20th. My ex called me to let me know they had arrived and that they were the worse movers she had ever encountered. They came in 2 U Haul rentals, were later than anticipated because the one driver kept falling asleep so the Dispatcher kept pulling off the side of the road so the other driver could catch some shut eye, didnt seem to know where they were because he told my ex he was coming from Nebraska but said to me he had gone through Iowa City, Ia. As I stated, my ex said they were terrible because of the way they packed, taking out other peoples furniture to make room for mine, the roughness in which they handled everything, mine and other peoples goods, cramming stuff in and not tagging anything. She even went to the trouble of taking pictures and told me that whatever I paid them was too much! (I might be able to get a statement from her) I did ask her to let me speak with them. She said she was too afraid of them to hand them her phone. I also called the Dispatcher twice while they were packing to see how things were going and instruct them on what to do if need be. I couldnt get a hold of him because the mail box had not been set up yet and he wasnt picking up. Not being able to get in touch with him is important because if I had been able to talk to him I would not be writing this letter; things would have been straightened out up front.

Two days after getting the furniture and goods I get a call from the Dispatcher wanting to know when he was going to get paid and that I owned him more money because there was a lot more to move than what I told them. I said I wasnt going to pay him and certainly not more than what I contracted for. He needed to speak with David.

I have included a copy of the contract. It states not only the price but the amount and pounds of the household goods. It also says I can have up to 1 months free storage. I also offered to send David pictures of everything I was moving in case

I called David who told me to talk the Dispatcher. I told him I had and what happened and that he needs to call the Dispatcher. That was on Wednesday, the last time I heard from David.

The Dispatcher says I owe him $2310; almost 2.5 times more than what was contracted for through David who represents Hawk Van Lines.
That the Dispatcher has my goods in a warehouse in Chicago; (why Chicago?) and that he will auction them off if he isnt paid by the week-end. (that would be this past week-end) I begged him not to get rid of my pictures.
Why would I pay him anyway? I dont know him, didnt hire him. He needs to get his money from Hawk Van Lines.
I perceive the Dispatchers and Davids actions as criminal; theft and or extortion!
I do want a warrant for the Dispatchers arrest for stealing my furniture and possessions.

I do expect the Attorney General Office for both Illinois and Alabama to act immediately to save my belongings. The location of my goods in Illinois needs to be found. Considering the anguish I have been put through I think both parties out me money
