I moved to NYC over a year ago and when I left Texas I stored my stuff with this company. I was storing my stuff in crates in their warehouse for over a year. Finally I found a place of my own to live but was not sure if it would be cheaper to move everything to NY or just buy a few things here and continue to store since closet and storage space are hard to come by in NYC. I called David and asked him how much it would be to move everything to NYC and if they were available to move it.
David gave me a quote but I was not sure if the quote was affordable and I was not sure at the time of the exact date I needed to move because I moved into an apartment with roommates and was waiting for the roommate to move out of the room that I am renting. I told David I would call him back.
A couple of weeks later I am at work (it is over a week until I am scheduled to move) a truck driver calls me and tells me he is in Brooklyn and he has all of my stuff. I am at work in the city, I have NO idea that my stuff was even put on a truck, I never called to confirm anything with these movers, I didn't authorize this move.
I call these movers and speak to Donna - this woman is very nice and promises that she is going to take care of everything and that she will arrange for them to store my stuff until I move in. Still I didn't authorize them to move my stuff but since it is here I borrow the money to pay for the move from a friend and call to arrange the delivery of my goods. Every single time I call they say they will call me back, they never do. Every time I call back they have some sort of excuse and never give me actual information. Now I have the money to pay them and they won't tell me where my stuff is or arrange to deliver it to me.
There is no paperwork, there is nothing and they keep lying about everything. Now when I call them they yell at me and hang up. These people are lying thieves please don't ever use them unless you want to be like me and sleep on the floor every single night because you have no furniture.
