We received phone call about once every week in April. We placed an order with Star of David Moving on April 30. They promised a delivery of my furniture, household stuff and important documents in boxes in about two weeks before we gave them order.
The stuff was picked up on May 10. The pickup men came and told us up front that they would need 10% tips. We didn't give that full amouont but did give the guy $100 as tip at the end.
From May 24 on, my wife and I kept calling the sales, the general manager and the dispatcher five or six times. I finally reached the GM on May 26. We had an argument. She told me that they are not supposed to speak with customers until the day before delivery, a customer can expect only one call, and that's it. Only contact them through their attorney.
Today is June 17, no information at all regarding when it will be delivered.in the meantime, I spoke with their sales and dispatcher. The sales told me she was prohabited from talking to me. The dispatcher first told me a three days ago that he is 100% sure the stuff is already in California. The second day I called, he then said the stuff is in Texas.
Under the circumstance, I consulted a couple of local attorneys who are obviously not interested in this kind of small case. Perhaps is there is a "life threatening" matter, they will be interested then.
What could we do? By the way, we are expecting a baby, and my wife has to sleep on the floor for almost 40 days now! And you virtually have no power to change anything.
