Contractor gave me a bid to patch and paint a ceiling. We turned down 2 other bids to go with this one. We purchased paint and cleared the room to be worked on. Scott, the owner, called because he could not find our home. He had met me there just a few days ago. He was over 3 miles away when he phoned. I live on So Ogden, a very common, easy to find street. After getting directions he showed up. He spread his drop cloth which was full of dirt and dust and that scattered all over the floor of the room in questions. He then explained that his quote was for only one coat of paint. This was fine. As long as one coat did the job. When asked if one coat would cover the ceiling, he stated he did not know and if it didn't the bill would be more than the quote and he would have to come back another day. My wife called me at work and when she put the contractor on the phone he basically told me to find someone else and hung up. I did not get a chance to say anything but ask him what the issue was.
