Won't call back

This company advertizes sales and service of stair-glide chairs for handicapped people. Our stair glide chair has not worked for over two weeks. My wife called their 1-866 number and the man told her he would check his schedule and call her back as to when he could come to service the chair. He never di. She called twice subsequently and left messages to call back. They have not. I called again today and had to leave a message.
My wife has not been able to go out the front door of the house for over two weeks because she can't get to it.
I don't believe this is a legitimate company; it's someone's hobby that they operate when the mood strikes them.
