It all started when I picked out 7pc furniture set and an additional MATCHING chair. They did not have it all in stock and could not sell the floor model. So they had to order it from their main warehouse so far no problem.
Then they call my wife and tell her it is in and we can pick it up. I get there and they have no idea who called my wife and they cannot find my order. I say, "ok order it again" I am an understanding mistakes happen. They repeat 3 more time a call to my wife and they have no idea who call and still no furniture.
Then finally they call and we go to pick it up. I get there and they have the 7pc set but no chair. I say, "well where is my chair?" we are sorry sir it has been discontinued and we sold the floor model to someone else. So my wife and I beyond upset decide if we cannot have the whole set then we do not want it.
A few weeks later we decide to get a 5 cubic foot deep freeze. We go in and they have one left. Great so I pay for it take my family home and come back to pick it up. Get it home and the whole front is dented in. I call and told the condition I found it in. They said to return it and they would order it I say ok not there fault.
Four days later they call and tell my wife it is in. I get off work at 17:00 (5:00 PM) go straight there and they tell me that they but my freezer on layaway for someone else. Seeing the disgust in my face the manager gives me the one that was on layaway for the other customer. Long story short it was also dented.
In ending AAFES is a horrible company that would not survive with out the people that lay their life on the line for a grateful nation. If it were at all possible I would start a boycott, but as they are subsidized by your tax dollars and are the only place I can get most of my military equipment they are a monopoly for the US Service Members
