In December my boyfriend purchased a gift certificate for $75 to Knit New York as a Christmas gift to me. I was able to spend $27.50 of the gift certificate before the store closed down, with assurances that I would be able to spend the remaining $47.50 once the store reopened or went online.
The store has since gone online, but Miriam Maltagliati, the owner, has given me the run around in terms of redeeming the remaining money on the gift certificate. I have been in contact with her since December and it is now April 27. She stopped responding to my emails on February 9th. I have written repeatedly since then, to no avail. She will no longer respond to my requests. I've sent approximately one email a week.
