On April 21 I found the grill I had on layaway at Kmart in Cranston RI was on Sears.com for $174.97 and the price at Kamart for same grill was $249.99. I called store to take grill off layaway and I was told at the Kmart National Retail Complaint phone number (800-690-5650) that Kmart and Sears are the SAME and that Kmart would HONOR the SEARS on line price of the grill. I called the store manager at Kmart in Cranston RI (Branden) and he told me "no problem" they would sell me the grill for the $174-97 on line price.
I called the National Kmart Retail phone number back and they made a record of my conversation with the store manager (Branden) in Cranston RI and they also got an email from his manager (Gail) on 4/22 that she too would honor the price of $174.97
Then today, April 23 I got a call from Gail and she started to lay into me and going at me that "she wanted to get to the bottom of what was going on" that she, KAMART and SEARS WERE NOT THE SAME. THEY WERE NOT RELATED.
I was harassed all day by Gail, Branden, and a woman named Judy at the Sears Corp level in a three way call with Gail. She treated me like dog s... T and talked at and over me and told me she was not going to honor the price and that Gail was a TEAM PLAYER and I was a JERK.
I called the Kmart National Retail phone number back and was told they had to honor the price as that was policy.
This went on for hours and I was treated like DIRT BY SEARS (JUDY) AND GAIL, STORE MANAGER OF KMART.
I then went on to SEARS.com and found the Kenmore grill three burner on sale (mine was the 4 burner) so I asked the girl about that grill and she said THAT GRILL WAS BEING OFFERED AT KMART ONLY, CONFIRMING ONCE AGAIN THAT THEY ARE THE SAME AND HONOR EACH PRICES.
So buyer be ware because you will talked to like dirt, and treated like s. T! They are corupt crooks and ripping off the public and not honoring prices.
So now I have no grill and want to throw up at the whole situation and as the CONSUMER I GOT SCREWED.
