I have seen a few other complaints about Prime TV and our long awaited rebate checks. I, too, had Direct TV installed on March 1 by Prime TV. It is now September 16 and I STILL do not have my rebate check. I submitted all paperwork to receive the rebate. I have been calling every other week since May in which I am still being told that I am on this CRITICAL LIST and the check should be processed soon. Well, as you can see, something very strange is going on because it does not take 6 months to process a 99 check. As an accountant, I am starting to wonder what type of accounting practices are going on at PRIME TV, as well as ethical practices.
I contacted my local news station that has a consumer alert segment and explained my situation to them on 9/08/03. The news station contacted PRIME TV on my behalf, the CONSUMER ALERT TEAM informed me to let them (news station) know if PRIME TV responds to me directly.
Any suggestions on further actions?
