I checked with Virginia's department of taxation and revenue. Scrap In A Snap like all the other states have never registered themselves in Virginia. Here's a direct quote from Tammie Henry, the president of Scrap In A Snap from her website:
"The important thing is that we took action the moment we knew there was a problem. AND, just as importantly, we've met and complied with the IRS, the Utah payroll tax commission, and are currenly working with all state tax agencies. Not ONE agency came to us before we came to them. Our software automatically calculates how much tax is owed and this CPA is merely verifying these numbers and doing the necessary paperwork to keep us on track from hence foreward (this is much more complicated than it sounds as some states require monthly filing, quarterly filing or annual filing so each state differs in their requirements.)"
That's all nice if you actually ever registered your company to pay taxes in the first place, which they never have!!!
What a bold-faced liar she is. Nothing could be further from the truth. Did she not think we'd find out what the real story is? What a complete unethical piece of garbage. Every consultant in Virginia has been ripped off by this company for years. We've paid our sales taxes to SIAS for years and they have never paid a dime back to this state. They have ripped off all of us consultants and the taxpayers of Virginia. Looks like they are doing this EVERYWHERE!!!
Hopefully its just a matter of time before this joke of a company and it's joke of a leader is finally hauled away.
