SIAS does NOT pay state sales tax! They've been collecting it for years but do not pay it back to the states. Translation: They are ripping off their customers AND consultants, as their consultants can ultimately be responsible for this when the hammer falls.
If you would like to check to see if they are registered in your state, contact The Dept of Revenue in your state and ask if Scrap In A Snap is listed. Better yet, contact Scrap in a Snap directly and ask them what name their business is listed under in your state because you wish to verify that they are listed to collect sales tax in your state. A direct quote (see below) written from the president of Scrap In A Snap says that their taxes ARE in order, well they aren't in any of the states I've checked. Check yourself and see who is telling the truth.
