I was lured in with the GetSmart Visa and always maintained my balance well below the maximum to increase my credit rating. Furthermore, I always paid at least double the minimum payment, if not a lot more. Well, they offered to increase my credit limit if I paid like a $50 fee. I did not and am glad that I did not. Within two months of them offering me this "credit increase" I get a notice in the mail that my account has been closed and sold. The "new" company "eMerge" has my account and now my credit rating is poor.
This is a scam, whatever you do do not get a GetSmart Visa and if you have one, pay it off as soon as possible because they will rip you off. Furthermore I now see that the credit increase is also another big part of the scam, they want you to pay to increase your credit limit and then they see your account! What a bunch of lying good for nothing companies!
