I worked at wal-mart good. They transfered me three times to different departments until my remodel job started. I worked my ass off. And i was a temp. They had me in softlines doing folds and "zone-ing" And I straighted up my area walked around and looked for things to do.
My mom had an acute stroke and I wanted to go to the hospital. I didn't have a ride to work and my ride was my dad who was at the hospital. I called at 10am my shift started at 1pm. They told me on the hotline phone "Are you sure you can't come in? You're just a temp. 1pm is a long time from now." Well I told her "I can come in at 5pm, after i visit my mother for a while and get a ride." She said "That would be great." The next day my schedule switched to 6am. I clocked in I worked for two hours and I was waiting for my first break. I was "zone-ing" I folded some clothes walked around the area which some manager from another department told me to "zone" certain tables I walked to the tables they were already set so i double checked and everything. I walked around the corner, and he walkie-talkied the softlines manager. They talked for a while and I was called in the personalle office. Were they told me "we're ending your temparary assignment. You're just roaming around doing nothing. And taking too many breaks" That isn't true. My softline manager told me that since I called in the day before I could have taken that whole day off and the day I decided to come in. My brother dropped me off an hour earlier so I shopped without my badge on. And I think he thought That's what I was doing the whole time. I seen the way they treat the employees and the customers never get real answers all the time. I helped out customers all the time I will walk them around the whole store. And I think that's what they thought when I was helping out customers I was just wondering around doing nothing. Which is bs. They told me that the number one thing was customer service and sh*t like that.
