Vindictive Motives lashed out at employees because some went to corporate to complain against unethical treatment

I am writing to report the unethical practices done by Jacob Dewey, Tezar, Lawd Daba, and Terry Howard. They are from Super Target at Perimeter in Atlanta, GA. Lately, Terry Howard has been reported to Jacob several times because of his nasty attitude towards team members. I worked in the fitting room as the store phone operator. I also worked alongside softlines teammembers.in Dec, when several softlines teamembers were getting their reshop from the fitting room, Terry came in yelling "You are not supposed to be in the fitting room! You are supposed to be zoning!" He's also very known for getting on walkies snapping "I need people for guest first NOW!" When one of the softlines teamembers reported Terry to Jacob, I became a target of revenge. The reason could be because after he was reported, he spoke to me disrespectfully on the same day. As the store operator, we are also allowed to sit down if they are no clothes to hang up. When Terry saw me sitting down, he came over and said in a nasty manner "You are not supposed to be sitting down! If you want to sit down, I will have you at the registers all day!" I told him "I'm not registered trained anyway." He was also told anyone who relieved me of my breaks not to sit down either. He NEVER said this until after he was reported to Jacob. A softlines teammember over heard him telling a team leader named "Debbie" that he would have me at the registers all day if I wanted to sit down. The next day, I was also a target of revenge by Lawd Daba. I guess Jacob spoke with Terry because be was quiet all day while Lawd would give me nasty looks. Everytime I went on break, he would time me and called me into his office after my lunch break accusing me of going on break three times and not clocking out for lunch. I had to give him my teammember number so he could pull it up on the computer to see if I actually clocked out. That same day, I found out Terry was reported a second time for walking up on a teammember talking in a nasty tone after the teammember walked away. Tezar is well known for allowing Debbie to leave baskets of her reshop during the entire shift while other team leads in softlines and team members are forced to do her work. Terry is also known for pulling softline teammembers away from their areas to work in hardlines for hours as well as guest first. At the same time, they both demand softlines areas to be 100% zoned and all reshop put away. Hardline teamembers are NEVER told and help softlines put away reshop. They are also well known for having very little teammembers to work during closing shifts. One person is working in the whole electronics dept, one is working in domestics and furniture, one for both sporting goods and toys, and the same way for softlines. There are a few more in grocery. But all are expected to zone and put away reshop at 100%, plus do guest first. There are untrained teammembers sometimes working in food ave with absolutely no cooking training.

They are placed there because Jacob refuse to allow someone who is able to work the whole shift. Workers at food ave are always minors who cannot stay because of their schedules. But these supervisors ALWAYS make sure to have more than enough people during inspections pretending it's this way all the time. During the Dec inspections almost all 28 lanes were filled with cashiers and there were at least two people working in each area. Some people from softlines went to report Jacob for allowing softlines teammembers to be overworked and treated harshly by LOD's. So on Dec 28.2007 after I came in to work, I was called in the office by Tezar 20 mins after I got there. She told me that because I was late 6 times that month, and already given a final warning months back, that Iwas no longer an employee of Target. She already has my separation notice signed and filled out. I went to Jacob to see if it was true and he said "yes". I was 10 mins late, it was raining and windy, the Marta trains were slower than usual because of the inclement weather. After I told him this and that I didn't even realize I was late that day and asked "After two years you are getting rid of me because of something like this. Even though I did change my schedule and made a lot of improvements on my punctuality?" He said "Punctuality is expected by all our employees." But two weeks before, when I arrived late all he said was "better late than never". I said "this whole thing is pre-meditated" and walked out.

Its plain to see that I was a target of revenge because someone used their teammember right to report unethical practices to corporate. Jacob terminated me as a warning to other team members who reports him to corporate. Terry gets to stay with his nasty attitude while overworking softlines, Tezar stays although also overworks softlines having teamembers multi-task in hardlines, softlines, plus guest first. Debbie also stays even though she is very well-known among softlines and Tezar for doing very little of her reshop and leaving her work on other team leads and teammembers. I wasn't the one that went to corporate because several people beat me to it. I am glad they were reported. But something must be done about their vindictive actions. Vindictive actions were also done against other employees. Jacob would find any excuse for getting rid of them such as arriving to work 2 mins late!

I also think the unemployment hearing officer John Mcduffie is paid by theis company to turn down claims! I have known others who have recieved their unemployment after appealing. They recieved it even though they were fired for smoking marijauna, having a criminal record, or fighting on the job!
