I am writing in place of my 74 year old grandfather who WAS a customer of dish network.
From the beginning he had problems being over charged, cashing checks they said they never received. He gave them authorization to speak with me about his account. I talked to them in regards to a check they said they never received but the check was cashed through the bank. They asked for a certain copy. So after talking to the first person I called back told them what the bank said and asked for their fax number and then was switched to a supervisor all the way through they wanted me to pay the bill even though we were already saying he had paid the bill. Got to the supervisor still having a dispute about the bill and then was transfered to another gentlemen to get a fax number they kept transferring me just for a fax#. The person I was put through to reluctantly gave me the number and then informed me I wasn't authorized to be spoken with about this account even though I had just talked to 3 different people including two supervisors who had no problem talking to me. He told me it would take two weeks for them to find the payment and unless my grandfather wanted to pay them over the phone his cable would still be off till payment was found. I let him know we would no longer be using there services and hung up. April 9th they debited $200.00 from my grandfathers account and then again on April 10th they debited another $250.00. He is on a strict income he only lives on his social security the bank is trying to fight.in New York it is a Federal Law to illegally debit an account without permission from someone who is on social security I wonder if thats the same here in Florida. If anyone knows the answer or can help my grandfather receive his money bank PLEASE HELP!!!
