Prev. Globalnet Comm. Ripoff tricked and lied to us, the company doesn't give a damn

I signed my 90 year old mother up for local service only. I made it clear she wanted only local service, no other features.

We were told the cost would be $85.00 for connection and $26.00 a month for basic service. They are charging her $35.67 per month, and it varies some. They are charging $12.45 for call-waiting, $6.00 for "900 block", and $2.95 for Access Line 1 Party. With all the taxes and fees added it comes to $35.67 for last month.

I have written two letters and gotten absolutely no answer, no adjustments, and no consideration. I haven't been able to reach anybody by phone. I just get, "Just press one, press two, " etc. I asked them on 24 December to either adjust the bill or discontinue service. They ignored my request and did neither.
