Beware of 2-10 Warranty Corp. When we purchased our home in April, we noticed the home warranty company's trademark line was "Relax, your covered. First our garage door opener quit working on a holiday. No 2-10 repair people available for 3 days, but since my we keep our vehicles in the garage and we needed access, I fixed the door myself. When I tried to get refunded for the price of the door opener only, I was told that since their repairman didn't evaluate it first, I was out of luck. I thought well, lesson learned.
Then our refrigerator went out. The repairman they sent out was 3 hours late for the first appointment, and wouldn't touch the unit until he had $95 om hand. He then went with my diagnosis of the refrigerator, which thank god was right because I really don't think he knew. When he came back to put the compressor on, again he was two hours late and had to hurry the job since my wife was obligated later in the day. Since he put the compressor on the refrigerator makes a loud bang about 30 or 40 times a day. When we called to have the man return, again he was more than two hours late, and again my wife had other obligations and in the few minutes he was at our home the noise of course didn't happen.
We had to make multiple calls after that over the course of weeks to both the repairman and the warranty company before we could even get the repairman back to our home again. This time, he heard the noise, told us what he thought it was, and said he would contact the warranty company.
Two weeks later the 2-10 warranty contacted my wife and said the repairman said there is nothing wrong withe the unit and since they don, t warranty for noises, the case was closed.
So here we are with a refrigerator that sounds like a small caliper gun shot many times a day that was caused by the very company that was sent by 2-10 home warranty, but they are not liable. Save your money and time. Fix it yourself!!!
