In June the air conditioning system in my house stopped working. I placed claim to TotalProtect. After the system was evaluated I was told that I would receive the decision about the repairing within 48 hours. Unfortunately I needed to call daily for the next 10 days to get any feedback. Needless to say that it was summer time and my family lived without air conditioning.
Finally I was told on the pone that my claim was denied because my house was under reconstruction. My house was not under any reconstruction or repairing. I asked to send me a formal statement with explanation for denying my claim. I was promised to receive it within a week but id did not happened. I called second time and again was told that I would receive the statement explaining the reason for denying my claim. I have not received it yet. I needed to pay 5800 dollars to repair air conditioning out of pocket.
I believe that the company failed to respond to my claim in timely manner, which caused my family additional inconvenience. I am still waiting for an explanation and I expect TotalProtect to cover my expenses as per insurance agreement.
